I don't know. We were fine because we did not have much of the storm.

I imagine that other places did lose power.

pre and post- hurricane update.

This is what we did to prepare for the storm:

1) We pulled some cash out of the ATM in case electricity went out.
2) We filled up our cars with gas.

3) We had some food in the fridge but I wanted more nuts and fruit, so I went out
shopping at a tiny grocery to avoid the panic of the large grocery stores.

4) On the way home, I saw "a place called "The Battery Store."I was happy for
the opportunity to buy extra batteries. The people were nice.

5) When TV said the storm was getting closer, hubby brought in some junk
from the patio like garden tools and bricks
because we do not want wind blowing that stuff into our windows.

6) Then we stayed inside for a few days, watched the weather reports, caught
up on sleep and waited for everything to pass.

====================================
7) The storm has passed and work opened Thursday.
Thursday I did a few work things by phone and email.
My first day back on campus is Monday.

Yes. :D

The first hurricane I remember was when I was 5 or 6 in Key West.

My Dad had to fly his plane out of state to a safe place.
He left Mom and us kids in our townhouse on base.

My mother invited a family with kids to hour house because they
were living in a trailer on another side of the base.

Mom put some furniture on blocks using my brothers' toys so that
the if the water came into place, the furniture might survive.

Even then I thought she was nuts but EVERYONE responds to
the threat of a hurricane differently.

A couple of days later Dad returned home and the neighbors went back to their home.

Hello

Hi, Bobby and Bizi,

It's good to be back here with you.:):)

Last week Hubby had someone come to the house to fix the
t.v. or something. The guy disconnected me to every password.

I spent days trying to get back into youtube, myfitnesspal, the phone company, and so on.

I think that part of the emotional aspect of logging into my accounts is
that I feel panic about the possibility of not being able to get back into them.

Also, my brain seems to be working at a low level.

what a disaster! so glad you are back!
