If you have a hard blockage of stool in your colon that won't pass yes you can have diarrhea around it. Makes it very difficult to treat.

thanks so much. I don't have a hard blockage My IBS really flared up and even made me nauseated. I don't know what to eat. I keep on looking on the internet.

sorry that you have IBS....I don't know anything about that. Did your GI doctor diagnose you? any meds for that ?

IBS you really have to go to the doctor and follow the plan they set up for a while to see if they can help you with this problem. There are honestly many different ideas to treat this and each person is different. I don't remember when they thought I had this what it was I ate to help it.

i had the worse night. i have to start eating only a little. the g.i. doctor who did my colonoscopy thought i probably had ibs. i saw him three times. he gave me two prescription laxatives that didn't work. my friend has it and she can eat food that i can't eat. it is trial and error. it got so much worse when suri died. one of the triggers is stress. i even tried vegetable soup and had the worse pain. being bipolar makes it so much worse.
