Question Dose on Lexapro

anyone know of a comfortable dose of Lexapro? If I double it is 40 mg.
I started at 10 mg had to decrease to 5 mg, then up to 10 mg and after two weeks up to 20 mgs.....

I take it when I get to early evening, it seems to wear off. I come home from work sad, I have the dole drums, I can pick myself up, but just as fasst be sad,

I was thinking maybe I needed to double the dose as it works off....
I did not want to call the doctor have him think I am over the deep end needing a double, should I rough it out and cut it in half?
Then I think I will be sad all day'

It is for the depression.
thanks
di

Have you thought of cutting the pill in half and taking 10mg at one time and the last 10mg when you feel that icky feeling? Maybe you need to adjust when you take it.
Just to let you know...max dose on Lexapro is 20mg a day.
Todd was having the same problem and he chose to take it at a different time and it is working out better for him.

Hi,
I took Lexapro at one point, then I got switched to Cymbalta.

Maybe if you ask your Dr. if you could take it in the AM - it would work better.

Good Luck, Nikko
