Question Dose on Lexapro

anyone know of a comfortable dose of Lexapro? If I double it is 40 mg.
I started at 10 mg had to decrease to 5 mg, then up to 10 mg and after two weeks up to 20 mgs.....

I take it when I get to early evening, it seems to wear off. I come home from work sad, I have the dole drums, I can pick myself up, but just as fasst be sad,

I was thinking maybe I needed to double the dose as it works off....
I did not want to call the doctor have him think I am over the deep end needing a double, should I rough it out and cut it in half?
Then I think I will be sad all day'

It is for the depression.
thanks
di
