I feel some relief. They did the MRI yesterday afternoon with sedating her with Xanax and Haldol. The Dr knew I was upset so he rescheduled it using those drugs. It worked, they got it done.
 I will get the results today, and they will be moving her to the physical therapy unit. I also called my p-doc yesterday and she upped my Lamictal from 200 mg to 225 mg. I hope this stops the spurts of tears and the mood swings. I am going to the hospital this morning. Dirk is going to the hospital after he gets out of work at 2pm and bringing her McDonalds cheeseburger and a strawberry shake which she loves. The Dr. also put her on a medication (can't remember the name) to prevent C-Diff, so that eases my mind too. Thanks for all your kinds words, information and support. It is good to hear that your mom finally got the MRI done and will go to rehab PT. I prayed for her and you last night as well as all my other online buddies. befuddled2 |

Dirk sounds like a real doll...I am so happy for you. Thank goodness the MRI is done. You must feel so relieved. Your mother really has you on a merry-go-round.
I hope uping the lamictal helps big time. Our mood swings don't help us in our psychological problems....it is awful not to have a firm footing but to constantly be swinging in one direction and then another......I insulate myself so much because of them which doesn't help other problems. The thought of leaving my apartment is a herculean task. Best wishes....and of course hugs Bobby |

This is good news!
So glad that they were able to get the MRI done. Cheese burger and a shake...some of my favorite foods....  Dirk is so good to you. Here is hopeing that the lamictal kicks in very soon for you...but I do think your reactions sound "normal" for the stress that you are under. hang in there bizi

Just called the hospital. Of course I missed the Dr and he didn't call me. As I was speaking to her nurse they were taking her down for a CAT SCAN.........****
The MRI must of shown something. I don't have any facts, going up there now. Hugs, NIkko |
