Poll Tgif - Check In

Happy Weekend upon us! Check in - How are you all? What's happening?

I have been busy since my mom got home from the hospital on Wednesday.

A nurse is supposed to come today to evaluate her about the PT, OT, and ST and draw her blood for the coumidin. The evaluation will determine what will be done about the PT - OT and ST.

I made the Dr's appt for next Tuesday for her follow up with her PCP.

When I called the Bayada nurses, they were already aware of the situation, and said Michele a nurse would call me back to tell me what time today, but she didn't. I will call when it gets a bit later, only 7:25 am here now.

Picked the the final prescription that they didn't have on Wednesday.

Cooked a chicken with veggies and mashed potato's yesterday.

Framed some pictures. Dirk re-did my dining room chair cushions with the new fabric I bought.

As far as the weekend, only God knows.

My mom is doing well though, she is getting around much better. I hope it lasts.

Have a great weekend, enjoy, rest, take care of yourselves.

Hugs, Nikko

Red face

Last night I went to the store to buy some low calorie ice cream bars and had a 100 calorie klondike bar...it was very very good!
also stocked up on some diet tea in cans so easy to take with me the some diet pudding cups...had to get some things to munch on in the evenings. Need to drink a large glass of water before eating the sweet to see if I was just thirsty instead of hungry.
For dinner, I cooked an indian curry pork dish with apples and mango juice, made a chuttney for the pork chops, added some cayenne pepper for a kick.
Hubby really liked it as did I...
off to read a bit before bed.Was getting all worked up over things, like dishes ...need to just slow down....increased my geodon with my pdocs prior permission...
This weekend I am Going to make some gumbo this weekend for our friend whose husband is still in ICU from his stroke. He is getting better oh so slowly...he squeezed her hand the other day....progress.
If I can get up tomorrow morning am going to help some folks move ...The Frog festival is this weekend and we are going to be part of the racing...silly stuff!
than the art walk in the evening, always enjoy that. Need to plant my purple mums in my pots to go in the urns on the front porch...So it should be a busy weekend!
I hope that you all are able to enjoy your weekends and that if you suffer from pain that you find some relief.

The nurse came yesterday (Fri) for my mom, she is great. We had a lot of paper work to do, but it went well.

Then she did my mom's, blood pressure, heart beat, stomach, lungs. Took her temp.
Took the blood sample for the coumiden.

She called it in really fast, because after she left the DR's office called and said that my mom should stay on the same dosage.

We made a exact appointment every Friday at 10am. It will be much quicker next time, no paperwork.

The PT called yesterday, and is supposed to call me today to make a time when he can come, he wanted Sunday, but I would rather have all this stuff during the week, so I think it will be Wednesday for his assessment.

Going to be a busy week, Tue my mom's PCP appt, Wed the PT, Thurs my PCP, Fri the nurse.

Then Saturday my cousin arrives. YIPPEE

Dirk and I cleaned the computer room, made much more space. Took a nice walk with the dogs.

He made Taco's too, yummy they came out real good.

I feel I do need to get out of the house a bit this weekend, even if it is just the pool for awhile. My mom seems fine to be left alone.

My rotator cuff pain goes up and down, so annoying and aggravating. Have to watch what I do. I hope my PCP can do at least an X-ray or get a Dr. for me that deals with this. I had an appt with a shoulder place, but had to cancel when my mom was in the hospital. So, now I figure since I am seeing her on Thurs I will wait to see what she says.

I am always tired, geeze - been going to bed early, yet up at 5:30 am.

Hugs, Nikko

Have a good weekend!!!!!!
