Angry The Pain Is Doing Me In...........

I am trying my hardest to deal with this shoulder/rotator cuff pain, but it is getting the best of me. It's shooting around my shoulder blade up through my c-spine/neck.

Went out a bit tonight with Dirk, then we walked the dogs. Been in pain, from movement, just sitting, sleeping, everything. I can't stand it!!!!

I still have the damn chest congestion and cough, talked to the pharmacist and she told me about these OTC mucus, chest, cough pills, so hopefully that will help that, before my surgery. The cough medicine expectorant didn't.

I guess I am just misrable, plus worrying about my cousin's medical situation, I mentioned in another post, she isn't going in until Nov. 1st.

Sorry, I am just one big PAIN, yeah I guess a PIA to you all too. I know there are many other's here with much more intense issues to deal with.

Just whining,,,,pass the cheese please. I have zero tolerance for pain.

Hugs, Nikko to all.....

Dear Nikko,

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this.

Take it easy if you can and if it helps.

Unhappy

I am sorry you are having this pain...hate to hear that you are suffering.
Do warm/hot baths help at all?
I hope you congestion goes away quickly and the OTC stuff helps.
also hope that you can sleep tonight.
((((HUGS))))

Heart feel better

Oh Nikko,
I can only send a hug and cyber chicken soup. Many have that same bug. The younger son is taking Musinex-D and now an antibiotic. If you can take Toradol for inflamation it should help the shoulder pain. It is a kick butt anti inflamatory.

I hope you feel better by tomorrow.

Don't think your issues are any less important to us Nikko, your tolerance for pain is unique and no one said it's wrong to suffer, you know? I think it's wrong to suffer when pain manangement can and does help me, but even with it I still suffer chronic daily pain. Just like you do with this awful rotator cuff. Those kind of injuries are excruciating, I don't doubt you're in real unbearable pain so don't think you're weak for posting about it, that's what we're here for, to support one another. I hope it gets better soon. The 10ths isn't that far away....

Thanks everyone..................I'll get through this, just like everything else.

Glad I don't have a long time to wait, the 10th of Oct will be here before I know it. Not looking forward to afterwards, but I will deal with it.

Thanks for listening, I just get so upset, depressed sometimes. It passes, I am just a worrier.

Love you all, Nikko

P.S.

I guess I will be typing with one hand after the surgery....LOL you'll have to bear with me.

Dirk is taking me out next weekend - he is going to wine and dine me for my birthday, since it is the 11th, and I won't be able to then. He said we are going to get all dressed up, the whole nine yards, can't wait.

He already got me the beautiful turqouise bracelet.

Sorry you're in such pain. I've had two different rotator cuff tears, and know the pain can be awful. I was lucky that PT helped improve the situation, both times in each shoulder. It's not totally gone for good, tho. Matter of fact, my left shoulder has been bothering me again lately .

Will you be able to have the surgery even if your cold is still around? I hope so, cause the sooner you have it, the quicker the pain will start to ease.

Have a relaxing week-end.

Hugs, J.

Nikko

I'm so sorry for the pain. And if I were you I'd give the primary a call and ask if they have any ideas what you should take to try and make sure your cold doesn't turn into something more. Because if it goes into something else
they might not be able to do the surgery as scheduled.

So it might be good to be on the precautionary side.

Thanks, I did call my PCP and she said it was something that is going around and it has to run its course. My mom's nurse checked me, as said it was all in my chest too. My mom has the same thing.

I talked to the pharmacist and she said these Mucus DM pills should help they are the store brand because they are cheaper. Maybe I should get the real mucusex, think I will do that.
So far, I thought they were working, but when I cough it sounds bad. I still can't seem to get everything up when I cough. This is gross but is was greenish, then got clearer, now it's back to the ugly color. Both my nose and throat, but I don't feel sick at all. I know smoking isn't helping this situation at all either. Been taking vitamans too, and lots of juice.

Just going to take it real easy this week, and see how it goes. I really don't want this surgery to be delayed.

Have a good Sunday! Hugs to all, Nikko
