I've been helping Derrick make butter cookies. To surprise my mom with.

We are going to my mom's for thanksgiving. And he loves to cook, and
his favorite is taking cookies to a family members. He is icing the
cookies now.

So now my husband is trying to figure out what he wants to also take.
Hmmm, I think I'm done.

Then its a shopping if we can get up and go for a while before we go too.

Thank you for checking on everyone Nikko. I have my chicken in the oven tonight because I cannot wait till tomorrow. Also, if I can free up some time tomorrow I may go to Hank's barbecue for dinner. That is my hang out when I have money to eat out with.

Well we had fantastic poor boys
(Roast beef ham and cheese dripping with gravy)for supper...
and jsut got back from seeing the musical Rent...
really enjoyed that...we saw the movie 2 years ago when it came out.
Mom is helping me with cooking tomorrow...so glad that she is here.
It was pouring after the show...hubby gained many brownie points by running for many blocks to go get the car for us.

Hi,
Left work early today and saw girlfriend for clothes shopping and dinner.
I ordered a froz margarita -- first bit of alcohol in about seven years. It was a small glass and I barely drank half. It was as good as I remembered.

I bought t-shirts, a night gown, and great comfy pajamas (Thank you Waves for the pj suggestion on the other thread somewhere).

Picked up rental DVDs.


I hope that everyone has a good Thanksgiving.

Thanks for asking about me & Jackie bizi. We're happy so far with the new aide, he's been really good with Jackie. We're going to see him again Tuesday after going to the Dr's. I don't know how long this aide will stick around, but hopefully he's bonding with Jackie and wanting to help him sincerely like he appears to want to.

Today we're having my mother over, she's going to come just to eat and then sit and watch television for awhile. The turkey is in the oven along with the pie which is almost done. I hope I can keep Jackie off it, he's such a chow hound. Hopefully he's getting the hang of the Thanksgiving rituals, from food preparations to setting up and sitting down, I have hope he's catching on. It's our first Thanksgiving here in the new place and I hope it won't be our last. It's really wonderful here, we just love it and it's definitely something we're all thankful for.

I hope everyone has a beautiful day today. I probably won't be around much until he's back in school next week. It's so hard when he's home like this, if it wasn't for the aide I don't know how we'd get through winter break coming up. I am NOT looking forward to that one...Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving!
