Oh Bizi..I am so sorry to read that Hobbes doesn't have long..I could see that he lost a lot of weight but was such a love to be with. Harriet on the other hand, hid all the time we were there. *grin

Red face

thank you
I gave hobbes some roast beef gravy and he licked it up then tried to give him more and he did not want it...like what am I trying to pull over on him.
He needs to be "lubricated " and the hair ball stuff we can't get down him...so I asked the vet about tuna in oil and he said he could eat anything he wanted now.... we have had him on a low protein special diet for years with no scraps what so ever...
I also gave him some milk that he was crying for....now jeff just told me to not give him any milk....sigh
Just gave harriet her dose of antibiotic...smells like banana...Dr, Drew said that she will hate the taste...it took both of us to get it down her....one week of this...

bobby,
how do you handle your sick kittys? any tricks to giving the liquid?

Hi
you don't have to open their mouth to give them liquid. You can squirt it in the side of their mouth while shut. I have so much trouble giving mine antibiotics. I call my friend Robert to help me. He wraps Snowy in a big towel and then squirts the liquid antibiotic in the side of his mouth. Robert is an angel. Snowy doesn't resent him. Robert also has a warm up and talks with Snowy and then quickly gives him the antibiotics
Hope this helps
Bobby

before Robert wraps up Snowy he talks to him and pets him to try to relax him. Hope it works for you. I have tried it but I can't give Snowy medicine.

does she like peanut butter? after squirting the medicine in, a dab of peanut butter on the roof of her mouth with make her lick and swallow. hide the taste too. we always did that with our dogs.

why the heck they put banana flavor in it????? why not a meat?

I am so sorry to hear about Hobbes, cherish the time, give comfort and love as I know you do.

I hope Harriet has a speedy recovery!

Are Hobbes and Harriet very close?
