Hello,
My pdoc won't be back until Jan 2. And even though I have enough Verapamil to make it until then, I DON'T WANT TO. I don't want to be down to my last Verapamil. (my mood stabilzer) The good thing is that the office staff is at work and answered the phone today. I told her that I do not have enough to wait until Jan 2. Let her figure out something. She said that the pdoc might call in and check with her . I would bet a million dollars that I am not the only patient that has a screwed up med situation over the holidays. Annoyed. ![]() Normally I do a better job of refills. But the last Verapamil script situation was different from usual -- sort of an anomaly. I liked it when I had a Jewish pdoc. He took off for the Jewish holidays of course, but that different for some reason. Mari |

I'm annoyed that its not set up were you can get a emergency at least bit of the veraplymil.
What dosage do you take. Donna |

Well, the pdoc's office called back to tell me that they had called in 2 weeks worth.
I don't see why they have to be so stingy -- it's Verapamil for crying out loud (not Klonopin). But two weeks from now is exactly when I have my next appointment. Donna, Last weekend the pharmacist gave me three pills. I take 240 each day. He said one can't stop Verapamil cold turkey. I get nervous when I get low on pills. In fact, I have not been low in many years. I usually do a good job of keeping an extra 30 days supply and I would like to have more. M. |

Mari
I can totally understand the not wanting to get low. I take verapalmil for high blood pressure. So I totally understand. If you need help let me know. I usually have a good 90 day supply. I feel so bad that they are being so stingy too. Donna |

I am waiting on my doc to call in for my Nexium but that doesn't bother me like my ohters would. Mari, I too like to keep a good supply going but it didn't work out for me this time.

I hope you can get back to a good store of your med ASAP.
I wonder if you can call your pdoc on the third (he knows you suffer from anxiety too... so...) and tell him how you feel and how upsetting this is (if you haven't already.) perhaps he will call in a full script. i hope this gets sorted out somehow. i'm sorry it is so upsetting, but i hear you. i have freaked from being out cold of En, and Zyprexa, at different times. When I see him on the 10th I might simply be straight with him and ask for an extra thirty pills.
If he can do it he will . . . I hope. M. |

Mari i want to answer the title track...
Q: Why do pdocs take off at Christmas time? A: Job Security given the high likelyhood of a high number of patients getting skwooood due to this closed and that finished and the other 18 things in this period being a slam-dunked stressbath for us... they can rest assured - and rest they will, i assure you - that they will have a job when they get back. ~ waves ~ * (we all know that the answer to the ultimate question is 42.) |
