Default Fibromyliaga

Okay I'm not sure if I spelled it correctly. But I forgot to come back and
start this thread earlier. I was resting and feeling sorry for myself.

Anyway that is I guess part of the disorder, fatigue, depression, soreness
all over. I saw something on tv today that says there is a 11 points on your body that its sensitive to the touch. Just touching makes it hurt.
Wondered why the places the doc chose yesterday. And sure felt weird saying that it hurt when it was just slightly.

But I'm tired of no answers and trying to figure this out. I am tired of not
being able to do anything for more than a hour it seems. And most of
all I'm tired of not being able to help my parents.

I've been having a pity party today, I'm really worried about one of my parents. She came and picked me up yesterday so I could attend the
case conference with her. But we still didn't get what we have fought
for over 6 months for.

I know the next meeting is next Wednesday I'm pretty sure I can't drive
there and I hate to ask her again to come get me. I felt like I wasn't
helping her at all. I now it needs to go to mediation if they still refuse
to do what she wants.

But I also know I'm not in shape to do it. And I've got no one to fill in exactly, at least yet. I kind of sent out SOS's this afternoon to many
people. I am not liking my place now.

But suffice to say, some blood work to rule out somethings, no idea what
then the diagnosis is fibromyialia

Thanks Alffee

And it is a interesting report.

I'm on cymbalta, and its already being raised. Its going to 120 by the
time we are done. And I knew that its one of the preferred choices
for fibromyaliga treatments. I'm not fond of trying lyrica, because I
need no more weight. I need to lose weight.

But it could easily be why for no known reason I gained like I did.

I am currently on Cymbalta 90mg. I had done the 120mg, but it made me very moody and crying all the time. I am also on Lyrica and after reading your post, no wonder why I have gained so much weight. I was wondering why I always felt hungry and why my weight has gone up so much. I just added a new post about people's experience with Lyrica. I am at 450mgs and it does nothing for the pain and/or exhaustion.

I am sorry you are going through so much. Stress makes it all worse when we feel as bad as we do.

Been diagnosed with FM for 8 years now. I have tried all the meds on the market so far. I have been on Neurontin (gained about 50 pounds on it) the sister drug of Lyrica and I won't touch the stuff. Cymbalta was a placebo for me. It didn't help me with pain or with my depression. It sucked.
There truly is nothing out there right now that I can say helps with FM. It is usually is a combo of drugs.....here is a list of mine as an example....
Robaxin 750 mgs x 6 daily
Buspar 30 mgs x 3
Dalmane 30 mg x 1
Trazodone 150 mg x 1
Depakote 125 mg x 3-4
Celexa 20 mg x 1
Lidocane Patches when needed
As you can see my main drug is the Robaxin. It is the only way my muscles don't tighten up. I also get bi-weekly steroid shots in my tender/trigger points for the areas the meds just can't break up.
Now everyone's list is different some are lucky enough to have a compasionate doc and gives opiates others like my doc do not.
So as a person with FM and BP......is sure is a fun ride isn't it?

I do have a good compassionate doctor. And I believe for me the
best thing is going to be the physical therapy that I've been doing
its been very helpful. Now just to get my insurance to understand
why.

I just need the place to remember they have to turn the bills in
for all the different locations its for. Not just one or two.

I have only so many times I can go.
