Confused Someone Tell Me To Go To Bed Please!

What's wrong with me.
I'm still up.
I have an appointment at 12:00 noon downtown (traffic) with tdoc tomorrow after not seeing her for 2 months due to scheduling issues.

She's going to ask me if I made progress on my sleep!

I wish I had known you were up Mari. We could have gone into the chat rooms. I've never been there but wanted to talk to somebody. But now it's time to go to work. Another 12 hr day but least I don't have time to think too much. I hope you're able to get some sleep and good luck at your appointment.

Mari,

I'm up a lot of times to those hours but lately not. I'm sure you're resting well now. I'll have to look for you the next time I am up.

Dear Me BP?,
I'm sorry that you are having a hard time right now, along with working so hard.

Dear Befuddled,
That's good that you were asleep when I was posting.

Soon I will be in the middle of my nap time.

Gosh sleep needs to be at the right time for the right person.

Mari, maybe you need to sleep in the daytime, not night.

My sleep patterns have been off for a long long time now. Feast or famine, mostly famine. I do have to take naps to work evenings. Sometimes daylight before I feel OK to fall asleep, stress factors.
Love to see a poll for how many of us are night owls....

The therapist asked me to check with pediatrician about melatonin to help my 12 year old sleep....
I will never get her back to school or even a tutor pattern with the lack if sleep.

Did you ever try this, melatonin? Any one? I am actually thinking about it, it is from a health area OTC.

Although I do like to be awake when everyone is asleep...keeping watch. Sleeping during daylight.
I was pretty much a midnight shift worker my life, even when pg with daughter and after she was born, nursed and played with her after midnight shift work and she played while I web searched and was on the old BT forum,

I totally lack the ability to sleep wake at 8 9 o'clock to start a funktional day.
That is time for a nap, until 2 PM, then work,,,,,,
ERGH Am I aafraid to fall asleep? Am I afraid of dreams, am I afraid of replay of the racing thoughts.
I do think I need to get back in counseling again. I do feel the Lexpro helps.
Not enough.

Hi Di,
I don't htink that we can post polls here...not sure though.
I do knkow that it seems there are many here who suffer with sleep issues.
So you definately are not alone.
I too have been thinking about going back into counseling....
so would encourage you to do this.
I am sorry that the meds aren't holding the depression at bay.
You are such a sweet woman.
I don't know about melatonin for a 12 year old.

Melantonin is something I know about. Its something that lots of parents of kids with seizure disorders give their kids. They especially don't like to add
a sleeping medication that is a prescription drug. So they have been given
this idea, and many have tried it. And they have recommended it to many
other's of us.

It come's for sure in 1, and 3 mg pills. I know that its recommended to
take as little as needed. But they say that its safe to take up to about
10mgs of it. And you take it about 1/2 hour before you want to go to
sleep, if you are still wide awake at 1/2 hour before, you take another
the first night, then continue to try or relax.

USually it will work. It is something you can get at a health store.

I can't remember, but think its like a vitamin or something. Benedryl
is something else doctor's recommend.

Default Melatonin

Hi,

Melationin is a hormone --- made in the pineal gland in the brain.
http://www.vivo.colostate.edu/hbooks...do/pineal.html

I don't know much about it.
I tried it off course, but it didn't help me.
