Default Feel Really Weird right now - Shakiness, nausea, faintgness- withdrawl? *Poss.Triggs*

Not sure if this qualifies as triggers, but I'll put a warning just in case.

I just went to the bookstore alone and was reading a magazine. I'd had a substantial (but not too big breakfast) a few hours before. I begain to feel queasy- and then thought I might throw up and thought about where I might do it- but the kind that's like morning sickness, not if you have "the flu". Then I felt a bit shakey. And also like I might faint. None of this happened but all of these feelings were coming and going- either at the same time, or one then another- in no particular order. I got up and weirdly made my way to the bathroom. Then I debated whether or not to drive home. I settled on reading an interesting article or two in Discover magazine. Then started thinking if I aught to get a ride home and what if I actually DID faint. Finally, I bit the bullet and just drove home. But I feel no better. In the bathroom, I kept feeling that pre-ears-closing-up feeling prior to fainting but it didn't progress. I still feel somewhat that way. I have not changed my meds. Except the trazadone I didn't need last night so I didn't take it. Is this kind of withdrawal? Could that happen in a week on a med that says "as needed"?

I don't think this sounds like withdrawl.....

Smile well that is good news...

I will erase that jsut in case you don't want that info...on the net...sorry I should have sent you a PM ....
also it is really hard to gain theat much weight...and have it not be water gain....
I hated the weight gain on some meds.
geodon(an antipsychotic like seroquel) is a weight neutral med and so is lamictal(a mood stabilizer like depokote).

I'm a bit confused at what you're saying. Depakote DOES make you gain water weight or not?

Just from what I have heard.....
Geodon and lamictal are weight neutral meds....I have not gained weight on these meds...I am losing it with diet and exercise.

depokote can be cause of weight again....I gained weight on it.
I am not advicating that you not take your meds at all....just to be clear...
yes some meds can cause weight gain....like lithium too.
Others do fine on the meds....zyprexa can also cause weight gain.

To the tune of 5 lbs in one week? Does it up your appetite THAT much?

Or does it change your blood sugar? I feel the same at the moment- low blood sugar, shakey faint, queasy...

I am not sure what has caused you to gain this weight....
What I do know is that many people have to forever watch our weight...I have been 50 pounds heavier and don't want to ever go there again.
Depression has to do with this as well.
So many of us have gained weight and this adds to depression about our diagnosis.....
I will probabaly always be dieting and having to watch my weight.
ARe you exercising?
those symptoms sound alot like anxiety.
Many folks here suffer with anxiety disorders as well.
I had those before when I was hypomanic...or coming down off a high.
Have you heard about hypomania before?

Dear Nathan,
What meds are you taking?
Depakote and trazadone?
Anything over the counter?

I have no idea what is going on. I hope that you are ok.
Monday AM make a phone call to your mdoc. If it is worse before Monday, call his service.

Hi,
I once caught atremendous case of the nausea feeling after being on Alleve per dr's orders throughout the day for 2 weeks.
It was similiar to what you describe with the sudden weakness, ....

My friend, who was a nurse, helped me figure out it was the Alleve. I d/c 'ed the Alleve.

Thanks, Mari.

I am on Depakote, Trazadone (though I didn't have any last night as its as needed and I didn't need it), Celexa, a couple asthma meds, Diflucan. That's it. I'm not on Aleve or anything like that. Nothing out of the ordinary or unprescribed.
