Hi,
I've been depressed the last few weeks. Worse this week. Usually when I get depressed I get anxiety and I know how to act. This depression the past few days is new --- very little anxiety -- just pure sadness, like I need to lock myself up and cry until it stops. Then I realized today that I had forgotten to take my birth control pill for a week. ![]() I guess I was half hoping that I could come off the pill and kind of forgot. It's hard to be vigilant about moods, symptoms, dr. appointments, paying the bills, keeping track of new insurance, remembering to take meds. ![]() It's like a full time job and a half. I need an assistant. I'm tired. Mari Last edited by Mari; 04-28-2008 at 03:56 AM. |

It sounds like your hormones are behind this depression, Do you put the BC pills in your little organizer? I am thinking about getting an IUD to put the fear of pregnancy behind me for the next five to ten years, you know? I can't remember what BCP's were like to take, it's been since I was a teen that I last took them. I hope you start feeling better soon. It's got to stink to become aware of something like that, don't beat yourself up over it too badly Mari. Everyone makes mistakes, and the only thing we can do is try to fix them, so if you don';t put the pills in your organizer maybe that would help?
Regardless, I hope you feel better soon. ![]() ![]()

I would caution against putting the BCs in your other dispenser.
Most of them today are so low in dose, they are moisture sensitive. In fact they come to the pharmacy, sealed in their own envelope, for added protection. I often left them that way, and gave them to the patient, if it were obvious they were not going to be used immediately. Any minor error in use, may lead to BC failure. They are THAT sensitive. If you want to put them in the dispenser, I would cut them with the foil around them out of the pack so they stay sealed in their own cell.

Thanks for posting that mrsd, I had no idea they were that sensitive. That is a good idea about cutting them so they are still sealed but in the organizer. I am glad you post here with us in the BP forum along with every other forum on the NT board. You really do help a lot of people.
