Default Found an org that will help with the bike but...

I found a trojan on their site along with a malicious javascript! I seriously doubt they know about it and I don't want to link them here to protect you all. What should I do? Just apply for a bike for Jackie and not say what my anti-virus found and removed? There is a chance we can get a new bike still but when is the issue. I won't know when and it's frustrating to think it will take so long.

What should I do? They had a phone number listed and are a couple hours away from us but I think we have a way to get the bike here IF they will get one for Jackie. My dilema is should we try to get one from them now or wait for the med-waiver people? Also should I inform them of the trojan they have along with the malicious j-script?

I am just worried they won't believe me and will get offended. But this organization definitely would help I think, check out this article on our bay area news channel:

http://www.baynews9.com/content/20/2...16/356752.html

Now they list the website there but please don't go unless you have an up to date firewall, I would hate to think any of you got infected by going there. The link above is safe as its the news channel's site and I've never gotten anything from their site.

Dear Pamster,

Cool beans. You are amazing for finding this. It looks like just what you need.

My first impulse was that you do not need to tell them about their lousy web site.

Just focus on what you need. Sometimes too much information confuses people. But I keep wavering. Do what you think it best, but part of me thinks you should ask for the trike and then tell them about their lousy web site later. It is not your responsibility to tell them about the virus.

Plus they don't seem to care that much. Responsible people with web sites know to check them.

My opinion:
Get the trike from these people now if you can. There is no telling what will happen to budgets and availability in the future.

Mari

I am dumb. I found their site via google and went to it.
I don't have the firewall-thingy protection because I have a Macintosh --but still I could have taken your word for it.

I think I will see about getting him a bike now, because who knows how long it can take. They do a lot of bike buying by Christmas, new bikes, and while I'd love a new bike for him a used one that is in decent shape would do just fine.

Did you get the trojan? I sure hope not, macs aren't as vulnerable to that stuff as Windows machines are right? I hope your computer is okay.

Dear Pam,

I have no idea if I got the trojan.
I'll hunt around at Mac sites later. Also email a colleague who has a Mac. He is technologically literate and might be in the mood to be helpful -- but he is a guy and tempermental and I am not in good mood.

I think I am going to bed.

Get some rest Mari, It's so hard when you feel tired to be in a good mood, and with all you've got on your plate right now I totally understand.

Pam

Definately go for getting the trike. YOu need and deserve the bike for
Jackie. You could always let them know about the virus through an
anonomous mail letter later. SOme how.

Default Go for the trike.

Dear Pam,
I didn't mean to side track the thread with my computer stuff adh whining.
Go for the trike.
It will be good for the whole family.
And let us know -- plead with them. Let them feel good about helping if they have to make exceptions to get you to the front of the line or whatever.
I want some good news.

Guess what? Jack said no...The local news station story was on the air and I pointed to it and said we should do this for Jackie and he said No...*sigh* I'm so disappointed.

I don't really understand it either, he wants a NEW bike for Jackie and is afraid I guess it wouldn't be really worth our while to apply for one. Sad isn't it? *sigh*
