Default Update on Donna's Life, Some good news, and some questions!!!

Hi everyone I really appreciate the words of compassion and encouragement.
I took all things said to heart. And I also did lots of what was said. Starting
with something for me. I went out and got my hair cut. And then money is one of the things that I'm usually not allowed. WEll at first I just borrowed some extra with out care out of the joint account that is his. The one that
is mine, has only the money I make and the money to pay household bills.
Which is still the same as 3 years ago.
Doesn't really pay them, let alone his or Derrick's health or prescription bills that are mail order. His famous words are always, well you just have to say you need it for those things and how much. And after of course he says are you sure its that expensive, I'll give you the money.

Heehee, But honestly the last few weeks, when he decided to go visiting
I took out money $500 or so a shot. Then all the sudden he couldn't
understand why our middle son was so mad at him I told him. Well they
are mending there problems. And he is working to help Devin get the car
he gave them in March ready to drive. So hopefully soon it will be good.
We will get to go back to Indiana Beach, and hopefully fix the mess he
made the first time.

But the best part of this is, he has helped with things around the house.
Figured out I have feelings. And when he asks me to do things for him.
Makes me a list of things he owes me. Then does them, in a timely fashiion.
One of which, was the front LIGHT I've needed for years. It will turn on
when we walk out. He was originally putting up a ugly one. He had bought
a beautiful new one.

Man things are changing, mid life crisis maybe its over. He said, he needed someone to talk to. I just remind him everytime he gets on the phone forever. Thats the same as me not talking to him. I like to talk and cuddle too.

Love ya all, and thanks to those who don't always stop by

Default cool beans!

Donna,

Thanks for sharing the news!
I just looked up Indiana Beach and found a picture. It looks beautiful. Do you camp or stay in a hotel?

The porch light thing is huge. Now you can come and go in a properly lighted entrance way AND the light is beautiful too. Wow. It sounds like he decided to make some changes.

I think men (and maybe we women too but not to the same degree) can benefit from a kick in the pants now and then. Maybe the hard part is the "now and then." The timing is the trick -- at least in my home.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

What kind of hair cut did you get?

Wow! This is awesome news Donna! Thanks so much for sharing, it's a far cry from your other thread where you were sharing how you've been feeling for so long, I read it but didn't know what to say at the time and whenever I went back to post I just got overwhelmed with my own issues here with Jackie, meaning he'd push me off the computer or get into something so I would have to close the browser.

I'm with Mari on the front porch light thing, that is monumental! So glad things have improved, I know the uplifting feeling of getting a haircut, it's amazing the emotional lift you can get from feeling like you look better.

Well The haircut is just a much shorter version of the perm i got last March before DC.

I have to admit I am so happy about the porch light. I used to swear the only way I'd get one was if I paid a electrician. Which he is one.

But I'm sad tonight in a way. My mother had complications, and is not doing as well as expected. I am spending mroe time in kokomo with her and the sister's that have been watching over her. They really need a break.

So I'm going to try giving them one. And I really feel bad because the 4-h stuff is to be at the fairgrounds tomorrow night and I have to depend on someone else getting Derrick's there as they have told too.

Its such a big thing to do. Its sos ahwtdthey just have to do their best.
