Hi Meg
Would you like me to locate people on your campus for you to contact for help? All colleges have people in place for situations just like this. It really helps to have someone hold your hand and lead you in the right direction when you are unable to do it for yourself.

I honestly wouldn't have made it through college otherwise.

bizi and Mari are so right. Let the people put in place to help you actually help you!

There are many other forms help on campus. You dont have to get a counselor. And a pdoc is not a counselor. What that means is you can't see two different counselors at the same time. You aren't seeing one so that isn't an issue.

You need a ADA 504 plan put into place so you can have accomodations to help you succeed. Examples:
1. Extended time to turn in assignments.
2. Tutor provided free of charge to help you complete your assignments and get them turned in.
3. Absences that are DX related do not count against your grade.

There are also support groups, peer to peer groups, and many other things.

Good for you!!

I'm really excited to see that you wrote that email! College is 100% trying and overwhelming for anyone - and especially difficult when you have a disability on top of it. Like I said - it made it possible for me to graduate, and it will help you as well!

You can also look at your schools webpage to find out about the Office of Disabilities information (called various things at different colleges, but you should be able to spot it on the website. Holler if you need help.)
