Default Weekend Check In Time Friday October 3

Hello,
How are you?

Can anyone believe that we are in October? Time goes by quickly.

For the past two years, hubby gave out candy on Halloween. I even bought him a spider web cape to wear while he was doing that.

I have to figure out how I can tell hubby that we are skipping Thanksgiving again this year -- last year was our first year without a Turkey. And I don't plan on messing around with one this year either.

Work was ok this week. I have to look back and see what happened so I can duplicate the week again next week.
I need more smooth sailing weeks.

Red face

I went to a support group meeting last night for the first time.
It is from the depression and bipolar alliance...newly started here.
I liked it just 3 of us woman.
There was a man there initially but he left when he put me on the spot and I got all flustered, told him I was uncomfortable with him...he stormed out of the room.
HOpe he doesn't come back...sorry if that sounds harsh.
I am feeling a bit manicy...have been all summer since stopping the ambien.
Just recently started on .5mg klonipin for sleep and it works so so.
The group leader shared that she takes 8mg of klonipin to sleep at night.
wow is what I told her. whatever works!
I have a baby birthday party to go to tomorrow...am not looking forward to it at all.
One of my best friends girl turns 2 and there are going to be 50 people there....ugh! I have social anxiety and will try to get a job to do, like look after the gift table....think I will try to go early to help too.
WEll I jsut called her and she doesn't need me to come early so that is good.
I am going to another birthday party in the evening... mary turns 60 and I don't know her well but hubby has a gig so what the hay....
hope that the weekend provieds relief for all who need a break.

Default Hello

I'm sorry that you had the bad experience with that man in the group. There are allot of guys like that. He probably belongs in another group. It sounds like he's got anger issues, and needs to go through anger management.

My NP has given me Seroquel. That medicine has made me sleep with no problem. It has calmed me down during the day a little. It's like no other medicine that I've taken before. The Abilify didn't work for me,but the Seroquel is. It does give me heartburn at times though. Brokenfriend

Hi you all,

Mari, that sounds so neat about you buying your hubby a custome in the past Halloween.

Bizi, hopefully the guy won't come back. I have found those support groups very helpful.

BF, I did not do good on Ambilfy either. Glad though the Sequeol is helping.

I have a party to go to Sunday. Other than that there's not much on my agenda.

I'm hanging in there.
Kids are doing better; we are going on a picnic/fishing trip tomorrow. My neice is already showing improvement on the new meds. She told James and I that she doesn't feel like she's functioning in a cloud anymore. She asked to come home but I want her there for the time being. She needs some 24 hour therapy and a chance to explore different areas of therapy.

Hope all is well.

Thumbs up

Dear Bizi,
Two birthday parties in one day!
I hope that you can enjoy them and not stress.

Dear Befuddled,
Have fun at your party.
That's cool that people have parties.

Dear Friend,
Good news
I'm hoping that Seroquel works perfectly for you.
The right meds can be life changing.

Dear Bobi,
Keep holding on.
You are doing well with all of this.
And I am happy that your niece is responding well to treatment.

Good weekend, everyone.

So it started raining hard enough to sting 20 minutes after we got there to go fishing lol. Since it was a dirt road and it was really pouring we just stayed in the truck and ate out picnic.

My son remembered reading that fishing is best when its raining so he decided he absolutely was getting out to fish. Call me a ninny but I refused lol. He caught a REALLY nice HUGE rainbow trout that we are going to fry for dinner. Well this of course threw the other 2 into competition mode so they got out in the rain and fished too. I'll be danged if they didn't all catch a good sized one.

Default Fish for dinner

Bobi,
That is so sweet.
They must have really needed to catch fish -- come high water or no water or rain.

I'm glad that the little trip to the fishing spot turned out well.

Hi all, Derrick and I set up a craft booth for special olympics today.

He made almost $20 dollars. I was afraid he would be disappointed that
he didn't make more money. But no he thought that was lots of money
and he will be happy to return that to school on monday.

I'm glad he is happy, I was a little disappointed but mainly because it
was freezing and I'd sure have loved to have made more money. It
seems I've put more money in the crafts than that. But its the cause
that counts.

Now to find some more sights to set up at but for them inside and warmer.

Hoping all have a good night.

Derrick is seeing the chihuahua movie today.
