Default Cops again?

My 2 neighbors walked me home as I had some soda to carry and one of them carried it for me. We'd been drinking and one of the neighbors rang her doorbell at 2 a.m. The other neighbor and me were in my house when she came out raising hell with the one who rang her door bell. They had some words and he went back home. Then when the neighor who was inside with me when all that went on went outside my next door neighbor asked him where that guy lived cause she was calling the cops. She knew I was listening and she told him that stupid bi*ch next door, meaning me, was going to get evicted cause she's already talked to the owners about me. She called the cops on me Sunday night for loud music but it was not loud. The cop knocked on my door and talked with me. Then he went to my neighbor's place I had a couple of beers with. The lady of the house I was at told the cop that if he were to check my record he'd see I don't have one but if he checked my next door neighbor's record he'd see who does. The lady next to me is an ex con. The lady at the house I had the beers at across the street also told the cop that no one ever called the cops on me until the lady next door moved in. I heard the lady next door to me tell the cop, you can ask my brother, he works here, he'll tell you. This lady has it out for me big time. I'm documeting everything so I can file a complaint against her.

Dear Befuddled,
This does not sound good.

Perhaps you need to speak to a lawyer about this.

And maybe you need a restraining order that she cannot talk to you or contact you and you cannot talk you. Having that restraining order can protect you.

Thanks for the support. She hasn't spoken to me but about me when she knows I can hear. I don't think I can get a restraining order unless she approaches me again. I'm not sure. I have emailed my lawyer today but it may be awhile before I hear from her. Today one of the neighbor I was with last night was told by the owner that she had till this weekend to get out. I'm sure that is what the owner wanted to tell me also when I was told he wanted to speak with me. I called the office today so they would fix her toilet that runs all night and all day. It kept me up late last night listening to her running toilet.

Have your neighbor contact Legal Aid for help regarding the eviction. It doesn't work that way. My parents own 200 rental units; and it is next to impossible to get anyone legally evicted within a 6 month time. Renters have extensive rights.

He legally cannot give her until "the weekend" to get out. He actually cannot make her "get out" until the courts have signed the papers, and that is a legal process - not something that happens fast.

Since that lady next door is a ex-con,and she cannot live in society peacefully, but brings trouble to the neighborhood,it's possible she might end up back in Jail. If she's out of control like this, she's not safe to be around. Try to ignore her in every way. BF

Shocked hi

i don't have additional advice but i think everyone who has chipped in has given excellent advice from A-Z, and you will be in my thoughts. i hope this woman clears out of your hair soon. maybe she will get evicted. hah! sorry, i guess that was mean. but this is scary. definitely legal action, definitely.

good luck, dear.

~ waves ~ wishes you smooth sailing
