I am not ok with that. If you are a doctor I expect you know what you are doing. I swear I have to be the doctor now. I have to be the one who says yes this can be done and NO THIS WILL HARM THE PATIENT. I should not have to do this. I should not have to know as much as an RN to get taken care of. This is total Bullocks. Completely inexcusable.

of oral drugs contain lactose as an inert ingredient.
The brand name Bentyl has it for example. And I suspect the generic does too. If you ask for the insert attached to the original stock bottle at your pharmacy, you might find it listed there. Millions and millions of people around the world are lactose intolerant, and do not have a problem with the minute amounts that appear in tablets/capsules. If you are one of the rare people who react, you can take a lactase enzyme tablet with it. (there is a new faster dissolve one available now).

a new faster acting Lactase enzyme product out there now:
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/21867.php It just became available at Costco in a generic form this summer. I use it for ice cream. It works for me. I also use Lactaid milk. Lactaid milk does not have Lactase added to it. It has the lactose removed instead. I use the blue one-- 2% with added calcium.
