Hi,
We went to the beach around 9:00 pm.
The temp felt right. We had breeze and watched lightening in the clouds in the far off distance.

Hi,

Hot and humid here.
I get worn out each time I go out of the apt.

I get wrung out emotionally too -- feel hot even when I am indoors doing errands and get very anxious and short tempered. Thinking is impaired. I try not to talk much when I am out because I can't make any sense.

The full moon is scheduled for Tuesday. :)

It looked beautiful tonight when I was out around 11:00 pm

Yah, i saw it around that time (my time) too, driving home from the movies. It was beautiful. In fact i wondered if it was just shy of full... you confirm that.

Then later last night we had storms... and lots of wind... that rattled the shutters and kept waking me up... but not enough to think to turn off the fan or shut the windows let alone both. I finally did so at some point, i don't know if at the same time. My mom came into the room twice and seemed like a ghost it scared me.

Well, so full moon tonight... Today is sunny but the weather is so variable these days. Hopefully we will have clear skies tonight so i can see it.

I love full moon. :)
Aauuuuuuuuuu! :D

p.s. Mari, this will sound weird, but i kinda hope you get a cold front come in or something? Sounds like you could use one about now. I feel for you in that sopping heat... :( It is draining to go outside in it. I remember........

Dmom3005 07-07-2009 12:20 PM

The weather is not helping me at all. I'm hoping for a little cooler weather soon. I just don't like it so hot and humid. But I don't want rain.

Can't seem to get the middle. But not really cold were I have to have a coat too.

Ugh.

The temps are cooler and we have had a bit of rain over the past 24 hours so that is great for our yard. I like cooler temps 80's is great!

Full moon -- Wednesday night -- I find the moon peaceful and powerful

Hi,
It's hot here.

We have a full moon Wednesday / today ( 00:57 am Greenwich Mean time -- which is about 5 hours later for those of us on the East Coast of US)

I noticed the moon last night. It was gorgeous with no clouds.

M.

Thank you for this note, Mari.

I read you loud and CLEAR! And lucky for me it's getting much cooler here already.

Interestingly, October has not infrequently been a mania / hypomania month for me... and i sure could use some o' dat right about now!!!

:rolleyes::D:eek:;)

besides, i can't do too much damage with no social life and an empty wallet! :p

I am not sure what you mean by this double negative????
are you saying that you would like some hypomania?
I thought the welbutrin was making you hypomanic...sorry I am confused about how the meds are effecting you.
Know that I care and am wanting you to feel better as soon as possible.
wish I could help you.

hmmm, surely you can grace me a double negative every now and then? ;):D

i said it that way because October mania / hypomania is not frequent in an absolute sense, i seem to be more susceptible to it at this time of year. It has happened several times in the past.

As for my current symptoms, i do not recall saying the Wellbutrin was making me hypomanic. i think i said nervous agitated tense and activating, but even activating does not mean hypomania necessarily, and that is not my case in fact.

(it is really really really hard to describe.)

so what am i saying? feeling carefree, disinhibited, full of energy, motivated, enterprising and joyful - that would be FUN.

THIS (which, just for starters, IS inhibited, drained, tense, anxious, dispirited and emotionally fragile) is NOT FUN.

therein lies the difference. and a big difference it is.

i am sorry for the confusion. it IS confusing.

thank you for caring.

~ waves ~

p.s. of course, i know hypomania/mania wouldn't be "good" in the long run... i was sort of kidding... one can dream? :o

bizi 10-03-2009 06:08 PM

thank you for the explanation and with these symptoms they seem to present a rather mixed mood as I asked about before.there is a type of hypomania that is not fun in the least...I have had those before...it all gets confusing even for those of "us" who have this disorder.
and normal people are supposed to get it?????

however as i said before, when you asked, this does not feel like a mixed mood. not agitated depression, not dysphoria, not the not-fun hypomania.

having activating side effects doesn't automatically mean what i'm experiencing fits tidily - or even messily - into ANY "bipolar" mood description.

it's like being a nervous wreck, plain and simple? that happens to lots of people. bad case of, though. and, that is still NO FUN.

now, you could be right... and certainly are entitled to your view, but then we will have to agree to disagree about my "current labeling" right now.

I love the moon. I have better view of it now that we moved -- not so many buildings / trees blocking the view.

Thanks for telling us about it Mari. I got to see it before sundown - it was neat seeing this ghostly orb in the dusk sky. Then I went to look at it again after dark of course, in full luminescent splendor! :)

I am glad you have a better view. I hope you had clear skies and got to see it as well.

The weather today was nice. But then i got tired and became very cold. So now I am wearing fleece sweater. But when the sun is not out i get sleepy and sluggish. I call this weather glum. But when the sun is out I feel more energy.
I am not sure how it effect my mood. I guess i just get crabby when I am tired.

well I am sipping drambuie to try to warm up.....
a cat on my lap is helping a lot I must say.
but the feet are still cold....maybe a hot bath to them, I get raynauds in my hands and my feet. a circulaton disorder that turns them white and they get numb and then hurt when the circulation finally gets back to normal. So I try to stay warm.
It runs in my family.

Brokenfriend 12-04-2009 11:43 PM

It's 11:43 PM,and my NOAA weather alert radio sounded off. We are suppose to get 2 to six inches of snow starting around sunrise. They say the temperature is going to drop in the afternoon.

It's all cool to me,just as long as it doesn't knock out the power. BF:)

Good weather here in Delhi now

Last two days the temperatures been 50-75 F.
Humidity is below 40%. So pretty pleasant. :D
There is sunshine now. It is 11.45 a.m. here.

When there isn't or at night I have all the yellow electric bulbs on.
I can't do without strong light.
Cloudy weather is bad for auto-immune conditions too.
I couldn't stand the English weather, and it was partly that which made me run away.

I can put up with a few days of gloomy weather if it appears after a spell of a couple of weeks of 110-120 degrees, which has me hiding in my room with the AC running full blast, not more than that. In that kind of weather my body burns. So I need ice bags under my feet, on the top of my head and another one that I can use on random bits - face, palms.

I love tropical rainfall 'though - like in the eastern part of Africa. Massive thunderstorms and sheets of rain.
But then I like everything about that part of the world. EVERYTHING!

isis, I can't imagine living in that heat although I did live in arizona before here and it gets that hot there but everything is air conditioned and I don't remember it getting that hot then....like it does now.
sometimes I think there really is a global warming but then we get snow in louisiana 2 years in a row.....
climate change or what ever.....
the weather can be crazy...mother nature will do what ever she pleases!
The festval was canceled yesterday due to the weather but today the snow melted off the roofs and it was a beautiful day. I saw some clients today and ended up going to part of the festival by myself....much smaller and indoors this year....no big bon fire:(
anyway the day was great....the music group that I listened to was a trio, accordian, fiddle/harmonica/vocals, upright bass. and they played latin/spanish/gypsy jazz music, and she sang in spanish, french and english!!!!
I loved it!!!!!!!
getting ready to watch scent of a woman....Al is the man!

Thank you Mari. There is so much park land near hear. We have the Shenandoah National Park, the Appalachian Trail,Skyline Drive, and the Montechello.

There are roads that weave in,and out of these hills. When I moved here from Richmond,I could hardly believe these roads. I learned pretty quickly that when I come to a red light on a hill,I put my foot on the brake so I won't roll back into another car,and my other foot on the accelerator.

There's one mountain up there where you drive into fog. I'm not a expert on this area, but where I live was where the Monican indians lived for thousands of years. I've found arrowheads. BF:hug::hug::hug:

turned on heat and the fire alarm went off

HI,

I turned on the heat for 20 seconds in the afternoon.
The system burned off a lot of dust and set off the electric fire alarm.
Hubby was not happy. I had to turn off the fuses in order to get the fire alarm to stop.

Now the place still smells from the burning dust and hubby says we will be fine without the heat tonight because he is fine. What!

I want the option to turn on the heat during the night but it might wake him up and set off the alarms again.

It is supposed to be 48 F degrees later tonight.
I told him to go find the freeking electric blanket for me. http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/8.gif
Good luck with that. It's in a box somewhere.

Well, the last couple of days all that CNN and BBC show is about the weather and about Copenhagen.
Discussions on Copenhagen have now reached the 'analysis' stage, and I am beginning to channel surf.
