Default offline to change antivirus software

hi all,

just to let you know. i am going offline now to change my antivirus software. it should be seamless - uninstall one, install the other. but with antivirus software... one never knows. some don't like being uninstalled. and most won't install if you have any traces of an old one running.

anyway, i need to be offline before starting since once i do the uninstall, i will be vulnerable. i will reconnect only after i have the new software installed and i am relatively sure things are stable. at that point i will post to this thread again.

this will probably take 20 minutes, but it may take a couple days if complications arise.

wish me luck.

Waves,

I'm glad that things went well or seem to at this point in time. I can relate to changing anti-virus software. I've had the same one for a couple of years now though and it seems to work fine for me.

Default Good to see you here.

Hi, Waves,

That's quite a feet that you shut down, got adventurous, and came back to us.

(I'm on a Mac and have never run an anti viral thingie but know that those other kind of computers can be tricky.)

(And yes, I know that I am probably supposed to have some protection on mine. )
