Thumbs up

Oh, I really enjoyed THAT!

The actress that plays Mary, did a good job. A minimum of whining too.

Everyone did a great job. Such good acting and writing!

Many of them look like they lost some weight. Esp Mary. But also Carson and Lord Grantham. And they are softening up Maggie Smith too... she is far more human and less imperious.
I hope things work out for Edith... I worry about her.

Some interesting comments on IMDB message forum too.

I feel whole again lol

This show really is so special. I am a big PBS fan and watch a lot of shows there. But Downton just has something extra!

Also looking forward to the new season of Call The Midwife on PBS, starting in the spring. The Christmas special on Dec 29th was so touching!

I love PBS. I find myself watching the shows they offer more often now.

I thoroughly enjoyed Downton Abbey last night and I know just what Chemar means by saying "I feel whole again"!! It's hard to explain but I feel better now that the show is on again.

I couldn't wait for it to come back on and it didn't disappoint.

just a suggestion that you may want to edit those details hopeful, for the sake of those still watching the earlier episodes who may not want to be told what happens yet........we have all tried not to give away details on this thread for that reason....

I'm sorry. Hopefully, no one else saw it. I didn't seen think about that.

Just saw Dame Harriet Walker on GMA. She plays Lady Shackleton on episode 1 of the new season of Downton Abby. She also plays Jean on the new show "The Assets" which starts tonight. Second episode of that tonight. I don't think I'll watch that one as I could not get in to it last week.

Dame Harriet Walker has quite a few honors and is very interesting. I looked her up on my search engine. Anyone see GMA?

Chemar, I loved this show. I meant to mention it before but I forgot. Unfortunately it was on too late for me. I watched the first episodes which were on at a reasonable time in my area, but then they switched it to 10pm.
