Some things confused me...when, towards the end of the episode, Kate was talking to Spader, the camera panned to where her husband "died"...but there was no body. Did he, in fact, die?
And I never saw any indication in any show that Spader's character was revealed to be her father. I thought they would have revealed it by now if it was true.

No, they haven't really revealed that Red is Liz's father although it has been eluded to. I think that he is.
Tom's body was not there when the FBI came. I think he will live on as a villain. We shall see. It is a good show. And we saw the scars on Red's back. Apparently from saving Liz in the fire all those years ago.
