Thumbs down Duplicity

Blech.

Saw it Saturday night. Waste of time and money

Predictable. Ran way too long. 2 hours 5 minutes. Should have been over in less than 90 minutes.

And good grief, but Julia Roberts looked horrible. Most of the movie is super close ups. It even showed how her eye liner was put on bad. Skin blotchy..showed right up her nose.

I suspected this would be a flop!

I couldn't even stand the promo ads I saw on TV!
I can't stand Clive Owen anyway... no appeal for me whatsoever! I could not detect any chemistry between them!

I did like Mr and Mrs Smith. Barely.

But I do like True Lies. I've watched that at least 4 times now, and it is still entertaining and funny. Jamie Lee was great in that.

We hadn't planned on seeing it, but Lil'Monkey was at a Quinceneara that wasn't close enough to home to just drop her and go back and pick her up. This was the only in the time frame after dinner.

So as a time waster...we sure did do that.

I'll have to rent True Lies. TY for the tip.

Oh, you have never seen True Lies? It is really a hoot.
Arnie and Jamie Lee Curtis.

It is a classic IMO. Very funny. Also very clever.
It is a bit dated now, but that doesn't really matter.

I don't like Arnie very much, but he was good in this. Jamie Lee was excellent. They show it on TV every once in a while.
TNT I think, or USA.

Mr and Mrs Smith is a rehash of it, in some ways. Only the special effects in True Lies are far superior! Alot happens in this movie...no boring spots at all. Jamie Lee goes thru many changes/challenges in this movie!

OMG totaly agree. I saw this movie on Sunday as I was doing movie clean-up of what have I not seen yet before it leaves the theater.

Julia did look horrible and the plot was horrible.

But Clive oh Clive....he was the only thing worth my 12 bucks. That man is just plain yummy accent and all.

No way....he is yummy with that warm brown eyes and that accent...I just melt. He was totally hot in King Arthur.

I can see a poll coming out of this...pick your hottest actor.

Body...skinny...narrow shoulders like a woman...blech.

The one scene where he is wearing the white shirt and jeans, they are bunched up around his waist, like a woman. yuck
