Default Why I Don't Ask for Help

When friends call me and tell me about their husbands, kids and jobs, it's called having a conversation.

When I call people and tell them about the latest round of doctors, test results and treatments, I am told that I am "venting,' and that they are happy to do something for me at long last.

I am tolerated, and my conversation is endured.

That's why I don't ask for help.
