Default am new here so a little about me

Hi all,
my name is Roberta, am 40 years young, have three teenage sons,
from june last year i have been looking after my father who has lung cancer
secondary in the liver and bones, and my mother who has lot's of illnesses too many to mention,

i had a subrachnoid anurisium 9th dec, and had the coiling procedure to repair it, for the past three year i have had bouts of migraines, severly high blood pressure, stiff neck, i attend hypertension clinic regulary, i had a stent inserted to my kidney artery to try reduce the b.p, in october, i have no memory of first 2 weeks n hospital, i do remember the lumbar puncture's and am thankful to still be the way i was before it happened only i get very tired and still suffer headaches and backache controlled by painkillers. i also noticed my legs get very sore, is this due to what happened??

am a very active person always helping others, still trying to look after my parents, but not doing as much, why do i feel as though i am letting my parents down, when i leave to go home.

I am so very sorry for just seeing this. I pray your still here. My name is Sandy and I am a carepartner to my husband Jim who has ms. I stay home to care for him. We are still active and get out and do things as much as we can. My mom is sick too but still attempting to live on her own as much as possible. Your not letting your parents down, don't feel guilty. They know how much you love them and how you need your down time.

Feel free to ask any questions about NT or just vent it all here. We get it.

Default TEARS : dad will be shouting at me.

hi their,

what a turbulant three months, left me feeling like a zombie, I read your reply and the tears started flowing. Thank goodness was getting worried,
I lost my dad on the 10th of march. the cancer had spread to his liver and his backbone, lower and shoulder area.
Am relieved in a way, were he is no longer in pain, but i miss him so so much,
I was able to tell him i loved him, and he even said ta ta. He passed the next morning.
the time has just flew by since i got discharged from hospital and still going through the recovery period,
Mum however is coping really well, and i have mixed emotions about that.
And when she cries i put a brave face on and tell her he'll shout at u for that, as well as throw u out your wheel chair.
thankyou for your kind and caring words it gave me a chance to get this out

thankyou

love and light

Roberta I am so sorry to learn of your dads' death. You have so much on your plate in addition to your own health problems.

I think you would have had more responses if you had posted in the New Comers Forum to introduce your self.

Sandy is right...we do "get it" around here. Welcome.

Only you know how to answer that one.Stand outside of yourself and ask What advise would you give to someone who might ask the same question that you asked us. You'd tell them that, they need to take care of themselves first, otherwise their parents would have no one to help them.
