I am so very sorry for just seeing this. I pray your still here. My name is Sandy and I am a carepartner to my husband Jim who has ms. I stay home to care for him. We are still active and get out and do things as much as we can. My mom is sick too but still attempting to live on her own as much as possible. Your not letting your parents down, don't feel guilty. They know how much you love them and how you need your down time.
![]() Feel free to ask any questions about NT or just vent it all here. We get it.

hi their,
what a turbulant three months, left me feeling like a zombie, I read your reply and the tears started flowing. Thank goodness was getting worried, I lost my dad on the 10th of march. the cancer had spread to his liver and his backbone, lower and shoulder area. Am relieved in a way, were he is no longer in pain, but i miss him so so much, I was able to tell him i loved him, and he even said ta ta. He passed the next morning. the time has just flew by since i got discharged from hospital and still going through the recovery period, Mum however is coping really well, and i have mixed emotions about that. And when she cries i put a brave face on and tell her he'll shout at u for that, as well as throw u out your wheel chair. thankyou for your kind and caring words it gave me a chance to get this out thankyou love and light ![]() |

Hi Roberta....I'm just seeing this today, too, so I'm sorry for not welcoming you the first time you came here.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I know what you mean by being glad he's out of pain. It's a mixed blessing but he is in a better place now free from all the pain and worries. I hope your Mom is hanging in there.....this has to be hard for her, too. You've got your hands full with everything going on in your life. Just remember to accept help when it's offered and take some time to take care of yourself. Keep coming here, too, as there are lots of caring and supportive people here who know exactly what you're going through. Hugs! ![]()

thank you for your kind words. mum is showing a strength i have never seen in her before and i am so glad of this. It give's me time to sort out my own feelings and time to let my tears flow. i hope it lasts as she has taken to her wheel chair and is getting out again, she hadn't been out since my dad was diagnosed. now she goes out daily even if it is just to church it's a start. robi xx |

Your mom will cry for a long time at the loss of your dad. I still cry sometimes and my husband died almost 9 years ago. Just understand that it's something she has to do for as long as it takes her to grieve.
I'm glad you found this place. You'll get a lot of understanding and support here. ![]() |
