Default Congenital heart abnomaly in my child

It was supposedly going to remedy itself, but it never did. Does anyone have a child with multiple heart murmurs that cause high blood pressure, exhaustion and extreme obesity to inactivity? I go annually to cardiology for her, but told last week it should be bi-annually, in fact the pediatrician is placing a urgent referral into pediatric cardiology for her now. I hate worrying like this. What causes this? Where did I go wrong? Did anyone have a child like mine that required corrective heart surgery?

I dont have answers...BUT I do know..you didnt do anything wrong....maybe drs as they might have wanted to watch it closer...as now they are pushing for quickness....but YOU didnt do anything wrong!!

Glad they are getting her to a pediatric heart specialist, try to stay calm...and dont think the worst on things...(easy to say hard to do I know as a MOm)....anyhow..your daughter is in my prayers and thoughts...I do know there are many kids who have had heart issues...and had surgeries and then went on living a great life!!

hugss and good luck, Sarah

Hi Sarah, thank you so much for saying all of those great things! I made two kids with health issues and last night everything hit me pretty hard. The heart condition may have stunted her growth too? We have gone to so many doctors and one said she stopped growing already and she has been in special ed since infancy due to delays. I appreciate your words more than you know. We hope to find out if her heart is still functional this week. The weight loss is impossible and that tires her out even more. Thanks again for everything Sarah .
