My chronic pain has really lessened. I still have some headaches and nerve pain in left hand, but overall my pain is gone. It has been almost three year since surgery for thoracic outlet and I still had sever pain. My neurosurgeon ordered ALCAT testing. It showed food intolerances. I started the elimination diet in mid December and now 3 months later, I am feeling like a new person. I have accidentally ingested something on my No No list and later felt pain. It is hard to eat but worth the effort. It is wonderful not living on pain pills.

That's wonderful to hear.
I'm not sold on ALCAT at all, and it's not really necessary for doing an elimination diet (The Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) is another) and/or identifying food triggers. Quote:

Immunoglobulins Goggle Schoolar will also yield different articles skeptical of iGg testing usefulness/validity in this context, e.g. Food elimination in IBS: the case for IgG testing remains doubtful and: Quote:

I'll reiterate, it's wonderful that your pain is lessened and you're feeling better, so let's not let that be overshadowed. Doc

That is great to hear. I have never heard of ALCAT testing but after years of feeling tired, achy, nauseous and bloated all the time I did an elimination diet. I went to all sorts of specialist doctors to find out what was wrong and they never gave me any help. Luckily after cutting out gluten, eggs, dairy fat, and peanuts I feel less awful. I highly suggest experimenting with your diet to anyone who has GI or pain issues.
