Default Outer thigh pain after DLIF almost 10 months ago

Both of my outer thighs have a numbing feeling and have since my surgery. When my PM Dr examined me, he touched certain areas of my upper thighs and asked if it hurt, it did. I told him I just thought my muscles were hurting me.

Now he scheduled me for a nerve block for S1 to S3, he is going to do 3 injections. My DLIF was a 4 level L1 to L5 and I still have Awful pain across my lumbar, I wish there was a nerve block for that!

Anyway, has anyone here had this nerve block? Can you tell me how painful this was?

Thank you in advance if anyone answers me.
