Oh Hummer I feel so bad for you. It is very frustrating when we can't even do the things that we used to enjoy. I hope that you start to feel better, I love your words and they are like art to all of us here.

I was painting today although it wasn't artwork. I was painting the border on our deck and I kept dropping the brush in the dirt. My kids don't even ask anymore they just shake their heads and smile. ...Sue

Well.......I guess....I could.....cry more tears.......

When I read your words to me....Janster...Snoozie....Slogo........only they were not tears of defeat...they were tears that washed into my Heart........thank you for your caring.....

I did finish dying the project......but the final overlay dye, that you put on and wipe off.....messed up two of my pieces.....it did not respond in the manner I wanted.....all of my work.....it is too dark to see any of the detail....I would have been better off just leaving it with no dye at all.......too late.......

I don't like the way I feel, and I don't know how to feel any different......

Reading your words to me......touched me in ways that I needed, beyond my ability to explain........I have missed you all so much.........

Blessings to us all.........from my Heart........

Dearest Hummer....

I'm so sorry to hear how sad you are. I have a suggestion for holding your paintbrushes and anything else that is hard to hold. Have you tried wrapping handles with foam, the denser the better? For temporary use you could use almost anything from bubble wrap to a small wash rag.....anything to make the handle bigger. If you google "disability aids" you should find lots of places that carry "fat handles", etc. Due to cervical problems, I have trouble holding a pen to write. My handwriting has gone from really nice to impossible then to unreadable. I need to write big and only a little bit at a time.

If you don't find anything, try calling your local Sr. Center and see if they can guide you. I'm so sorry that the dye didn't come out to your liking. I'll place my bet on you being able to salvage it and make it beautiful.

It sure is nice to see you. I've thought about you often this summer and wondered how you were doing. It's nice to get back with familiar names.....hope everyone finds this place soon.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Hummer)))))))))))))))) ))))))))))))) You are Loved!!!

Hummer, I know how you feel. I am a painter and the last year I've been unable to stand at my easel. I tried to sit but that is also uncomfortable.
But, guess what? I found something I can do leaning back in my recliner. I have been doing portraits in oil pencils. Everyone that sees them wants me to do them. This is so gratifying because I am making someone else smile. Now that, is what life is all about isn't it?
