Great Idea....
While all of this suggestion is great, I personally would love a "media room"...
I do not feel comfortable discussing my private life on the internet, but I do enjoy Off Topic threads. Especially the Media Room, as I read alot. I've learned alot from Computers and Technology too. Again, Liz... these ideas are great I think! |
Yes they are great, I can see them all being used frequently.

Cerebral Palsy Forum
Could we have either a Cerebra Palsy forum or a CP/movement disorders forum?
(As there were a small number of people who were provided for by the CP forum - the dystonia forum was used by very few, and the only other forum that discusses the same range of needs as the CP one did is Child Neurology - which isn't for adults). |
There is a Parkinsons forum here and the man who has written this is one of the best. All you want to know about dystonia is here.
Good luck to you http://forums.braintalk2.org/showthread.php?t=1018 |
Thanks - I had looked at the Parkinson's forum already (I've had generalised dystonia for anything from 13-17 years now, so I have a wide knowledge of the various drug/medical interventions, what works with me and what doesn't - and there are other more dystonia-focussed forums on the web).
The discussions on the CP forum were more based around equipment/lifestyle issues/ways to get around common issues, and with GD I have a lot more in common with the people who were frequenting that forum than the PD forum...partially because of age, but also because of the severity of my dystonia. Still crossing my fingers in hope, Swift |
Yes or just a Grief forum.
|
Excellent idea.
|
Yes to coping with grief. I am typical in having to periodically grieve my losses of mobility and perception to Parkinson's and now to degenerative arthritis. How do you say goodbye to the head of your left femur?

with a salute to it and a fond goodbye you bstd and a roaring hello to pain free movement.
