Are you serious? Why is it that when you all have an opinion, it's ok because you are "cranky", yet when soome happens to make a state they believe to be true, it's a slap in the face:

DoodyAs I've said before a couple of times, I love this place. It may still be growing, but quite frankly...I get really tired of hearing about BT1. Once upon a time, it was a nice place.

And here I go 'cause I'm of the mood, but friends of mine were treated poorly there, we're here now, and BT is a thing of the past for me. So, I guess now I'll ignore, plug my ears, and not look at BT1 threads again.

This is NeuroTalk.

DoodyArtist, I'm just venting. One too many funerals and mishaps lately and I hope today's funeral was the last one I have to go to in a very long time.

It's just that, if people get started in on BT, it STILL gets my heart racing just a little bit more because believe me, I do have ill will going on regarding that place and certain persons in particular, and being the snotty brat that I am, I can't hold my opinions in to myself when I start getting reallllllly mad. I'm sorry for your folks who still go there.

I can see this all snowballing down a big hill so to that I say....

Seem as if there is a big double standard here, and this may very well not stop.

I am not the type to get "bullied" out of expressing my thoughts and opinions. To my knowledge, I have not attacked anyone, pointed my finger, mentioned ANYONE'S name, although alot of that has gone on here.

Perhaps you feel defensive because I said things you did not "agree" with, and I am not in your "group" or what have you, but come on

We all have a right to express our opinions, including me.

"I'm sorry for you folks who go there" meant I was sorry for the folks who go there who couldn't get in because BT was down again.

So, since you misinterpreted what I was trying to say, then I may have misinterpreted what I thought to be an implication that former BT'ers who were banned were looking for drama.

Didn't I just spent the last hour saying this? We ALL do, even me, and really did not deserve to be grouped-up on. Everyone should go back and re-read things they have said in the past, and perhaps the pot can stop calling the kettle black. Good luck everyone!!

Well now ladies let a cooler head here prevail lol

Braintalk held the promise of being far more than it turned out to be and JL encouraged many or really a few there to be honest to almost worship him. remember the picture he provided with the long hair and the belt around his waist as if to be a fierce fighter for our rights and standing looking at the sky from a long row of steps.

Thats the propoganda that was perpetuated ther right up to the time he left MGH and went on his own. I say his own but the staff there are his board on Braintalk to this day.

Well it will be hard for those who were so cruelly fooled to give up the dream and many of them still post there.

They are not any different than us save they may take longeer to leave. remember none of us left voluntarily. some were so disillusioned they left and some were too vocal to the new lord and master and he banned them and others leaving were the result of the site being abandoned by John for so long as to let Doc see the need and the advantage to set up this site.

There were no angels at Braintalk and there are none here including the moderators and Doc himself.

We all are only human beings trying to find and make the best for ourselves and anyone who needs this site for themselves.

I don't set out to anger anyone, but I sue do, nor do I try andhurt feelings but I do that as well. sometimes I don't even see the response until much later to even know it. But that is the way it goes on the net.

Myself I do't think there are friends to be made on line. Maybe off ine but not on line. when you talk here you talk to hundreds and in that many differing opinions there is no way not to ager some or hurt some. It is just impossible for me to try and "talk" to one person. It is in the following posts that the responses can turn against you with the multitude of varying responses, don't let it throw such a personal curve at you.

I just read them and if I feel a response in me I do so or I just leave it there and before long there will be someone sharing mine or anothers opinion and it goes from there.

Take these posts as an opinion and not personally and this site will work for all of us.

I myself have a hard time reading all of lthe posts from the moderators and not responding to them but I personally hope this site will in time get to big for them to post so often unless it is really serious to do so.

But that is me. And while I don't like it I can see there point as they seem to talke it personal as well. It is human to be like this. they see something reflecting them or the site and the them disolves and the moderator takes it over.

Very hard to be both a member nd a mod but they do it as best as each one of them can and tha is all that can be hoped for.

the main problem with Braintalk is John either didn't see what was happening or how he was being used and fell into a trap set for him and now has to either face up or leave. His choice of moderator was wrong and it will take him where he did not want to go and I believe doesn't to this day understand why he is where he is.

Things can happen and you have to go with it. I still go to BT as there are many people there who I have posted with for the last almlost 7 years and I have abandoned the site but I will not abandon the people there.

this is to me Braintalk2 and a lot of lthe same people I knew there are here. Some have changed their names but you get to recognize them with their writings and that's okay if they want it that way. I even thought of going that route but decided not to.

So whether this is BT2 or Neurotalk it is what is. For me a Neurological disease and conditions related forum.

Because that is what I want it to be. That is what it was created for as a temporary site for the BT commnity and as such should continue to be or lose it's honor in it's existence.

Okay were here and this is where it is going to happen in the future for us all so forget the lilttle innuendos of posts being edited or changed and the constant reminders to be "nice". We are grown adult human beings and we know the manners of today and yesterday and as human beings we are kind and mean and generous and at times downright irritable.

Not me of course lol lol lol lo

lSo this is it for the immediate future and I sure hope we make it this time.

Sounds like a song [Didn't we almost make it last time] Well we will this time.

Damn that song will haunt me now all day lol

Well, I hope my posts didn't cause all this fuss. Sometimes I get the feeling it's ok for everyone else to say whatever they want but the moment I open my silly mouth all heck breaks loose.

Have a great evening everyone. New morning here where I live and it sure looks good!

Anyone up for a cuppa tea?

Lara

My post wasn't intended for any one person, action, or statement.

It was just that the thread was taking a certain direction and wasn't correcting itself, so I wanted to try to help that along...for all members.

We're a great group of ppl...people with feelings, opinions and experiences...all of us.

G'day KD,
Yes, I know your post wasn't directed at me. It was just my observation after going to sleep and coming back and reading the rest of the posts. lol I'm more of a fire stopper than a fire starter. I was just throwing a little water around.

Absolutely no worries this end. Happy as a lark. Well, a lark with a broken wing maybe.

Chemar my high school motto was "Forth with Courage". It was actually in Latin but that's what it meant. Actually our school badge was very modern. It had a rocket ship on it and that was before man landed on the moon.

Okay, now...we have 2 here who need their ears pulled. Thelma, you goofball! I say we get Thelma over there in S. Carolina, get the rest of us back there for another vacation, and have one big group ear pulling. Then Moi can cook for us while Thelma tells him how he should be doing it. LOL Course, we should have KD, Chemar, Jo and Curious there to keep us from getting too out of line.
