Default Private message

Hi,

I'm new here and I would like to send a private message. When I click on the username, there is a drop down list with these choices:

View public profile
Find more posts by
Add to your contacts

There are no choices to send a private message or send an email.

Am I doing something wrong?

Also how do I update my profile to indicate that I will accept private messages?

Thanks.
