Default Question regarding PMs

What is the policy on PMs?

Does Admin record, tape, transcript ect our private messages?

Thank you Chemar.

I wish other message boards respected privacy like NT does but that is one of the reasons I like NT....the respect members are given.

Question

Hi,
I have another question...how does the buddy list/ignore list work.. what exactly happens if someone is added to a buddy list..or to an ignore list

Also if any members harass another member with malicious comments via PM can this be reported and sent to Mods..I like the privacy idea..just want to know if safeguards are still there ...Lisa

Hi Lisa

I have honestly never used the buddy lists so will have to defer to someone else on that question

As to harassing PMs, and also SPAM Pms, yes...should any member receive a PM that is outside of the guidelines they are to please forward it to admin or mod team immediately.

Obviously we cant get involved in personal member disagreements at every level....this refers to PMs that are either unsolicited and/or blatantly harassing, threatening, aggressive, or in anyway in violation of NeuroTalk Guidelines, and always applies to any PMs sent as solicitation or advertising

Thanks Chemar just trying to figure out all the buttons..and what they do...the buddy list I've never tried to use either...so I wondered how it worked..or what the difference was between any other PM for members use...in the past on another forum I did get spam...I just ignored it myself.. after figuring out it had nothing to do with anyone I knew...and was just a solicitor... ( that problem never occurred here though)..Lisa

The buddy list is a neat little way to see if any of yours are currently online. It comes up in its own little window. I like it!

The ignore feature is cool, but if you're ignoring a poster, the content can get confusing. It's helpful though.

This place is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than my last online home. I love it and you all are doing a spectacular job! Thank you!

Would anyone know if our PMs are stored in the data base?

I would imagine they are, as you have access to them until such time as they are deleted from your message box

Only DocJohn could ever enter that area of the software. Neither KD, myself or any mods have access to the database. It is DJ secured

Yep, that's accurate.

Only DocJohn can view things such as PM's, and other member sensitive information. He protects the members to the fullest extent available to him.
