This may be an ISP (who supplies your internet service) or browser (do you open up with Safari or Firefox or Chrome, etc) issue. I browsed several forums, including the one you listed, and saw no hot-linked words.

You could also check your system preferences to see if there is some kind of setting causing this. But not being computer-savvy, that is about as far as I could go . . . sorry.
