I didn't know where else to post this so I posted here. I will change if not ok

Thelma dear, I am pretty sure you were here when I came on board, or you entered talking like you had always been here.((meaning MGH))

You made a name for yourself real quick. I really did admire you. You stood up to be counted when it was something you believed in and you didn't give up no matter what.

Tell you the truth, I was a little bit frightened I would get on your wrong side! You fought for many things that did change, for the better IMHO.

I wanted to welcome you back. I also wanted to tell you I wasn't frightened of you anymore. You see, for whatever reason you have changed in some ways. You still fight for what you believe in, but I discovered you were human too.

Surprise surprise! Yep, human as they come. You are still Thelma and you still stand up to be counted. I thank you for helping me get thru this hard time when we were looking for a home.

We were like little lost lambs, knowing not which way to turn, the sheppard had run off and the vice sheppard was .............well we'll just leave it there.

We did find a home, DocJohn is an angel and he has watched over us lost youngun's as granny Maggie used to say. Well, this was for you, Thelma, DocJohn's will come later.

I just wanted to thank you for being you. You just keep on schmaltzing (?) your word, dear. We need you around. If you get out of line, I'll nudge you in the ribs and you could change that horse right in the middle of the stream!

Well, all that just to tell you I cared very much for you and your leadership when I needed someone to give me a push. Just stay Thelma and you will be fine. my love, Julia aka Jo

Well I do thank you for your kind words but I have always had to balance my attitudes with people being for or against me. Guess my opinions and responses shine through eh far be it for me to say anything that would irritate anyone lol lol lol

But seriously I never try to make anyone afraid of me I am just too vehement in my 'causes'.

But time seems to pull some rather drastic things on us poor human beings that are sometimes so harsh that you have to yell and scream to be heard above the moneylenders. Moneylenders is the term I often use for big business and their offtimes ignorance of what they could do with their money to change the world of so many.

I almost cried today when I read of a very prominant man in Las Vegas who had this over one and a half million dollar painting and he tripped and put his elbow through it after just having been made an offer to buy it for almost three times what he paid for it.

The picture is so ugly to me that I think my great grandaughter could have drawn it and done it better.

Things llike thlis make me wonder where we are going to end up as to our values. This is one subject that I do rant on quite frequently.

You are a lot like me in that you can adjust to the loss of Braintalk and continue on here as if it was the same place and indeed in a way it is. the members are here and they are flocking here in droves.

The forums are getting down to their intended place in offering care and concern to each other. While I don't like the quantity of moderators they do tend to stay in the background and that is good. The one thing I find irritating is the moving of threads to different forums when they 'the mods' deem them to belong there.

They don't seem to take in that the josts are fine just where they are put.

The members have to decide if they want or need them to be where they are. Many members in all of the forums have varied from the mundane to the serious aspects of their lives to talk about and while it may seem about one thing it can be about something entirely different in the next couple of posts.

So Jo lets hear from you more often as I was really pleased to see this this morning and I am sorry it took me so long to respond to it. To day I haven't felt so good and while I know it is going to be this way it still gets to me.

When you need to tak to someone right away just go to any forum and read and let the problems of others take your personal pain away.

Feed off of each other and together we can face all that is thrown at us.

Take care of YOU and YOURS Jo and all else will just fall into it's rightfull place.

Wow you know that was my sig 7 years ago. You are right there as well I have been 'here' and 'there' forever.lol

Forgive me for eavesdropping on your "private" conversation but I have to tell you that I always learn something from you two....something good...something enlightening. *grin "Dawn" needs to come more often!

Curious, thanks for the info about editing. I had already figured it out, but was intrigued by your comment: (mods can edit typos for you, with your permission).
How is that arranged? I HATE typos, always try to watch for mine, but occasionally one will slip through.

lois, you can pm a mod of that forum. we never just edit posts for typos unless somebody isn't able to themselves and they ask. oh...but you might not want to ask me to look for typos. i'm the queen of typos and the princess of fumble fingers.

good job thelma.
