Default redone site

Dear Dr. John:

Since you re did the site, the page takes up too much screen room on my computer. Before, I could have a smaller screen use version and then could enlarge it if I wished. I don't like the large screen coverage. It is too hard to read in one glance.

When I check a new color, it doesn't hold. I like the brown one. I also can't get the new blue color to hold. It always goes back to the new default light blue.

Complain, complain! I rarely have a problem with your site and thank you for this wonderfu site.

Try going into your "User CP" (User control panel) and choose "Edit Options." At the very bottom of that screen it allows you to select different styles, choose the one you want and click save. If you already tried that, try selecting the style according to the instructions in the Announcement (at the top of every forum).

As for screen size, we haven't touched that. You can resize your Web browser screen to any size you'd like and the forums will be happy at that new size. Does that make sense?

I am having a weird problem that started a few days ago, I get a message saying I am not authorized to view this page when clicking on the Thanks button...I don't get it, it doesn't always happen but it's happening enough that I am finding it very annoying when I want to thank someone for posting something. Is there some setting I need to adjust?

Aslo when hitting quick reply it's not letting me post in the QR box, instead it loads an add reply page with the person's post already quoted when I didn't tell it to. Is this stuff something I can fix in the User CP or is it just new and I have to just deal with highlighting the quoted text and removing it manually and forget using the cool QR box?

Thank you in advance for any help on these two issues.
