Laurie, if you can make such a black/white decision about a forum with 1,260 members ... based on ONE post from ONE member at ONE singular unique moment in her life... then perhaps you're right that this isn't the forum for you.

But in case you ever want to return, whether next week or the next time OBT goes down, you will still be welcomed.

By the way.... Did you happen to notice that the post went up more than 48 HOURS AGO... more than TWO DAYS AGO... and not one person in this entire forum, not one of us, not one of 1,260 members, made a single response IN AGREEMENT.

That shows a whole lot about us -- the "us" who have been soaking up the atmosphere, appreciating what is available here that is not available elsewhere.

Respectfully ..
- Theresa

I thought you would have noticed that was the post that distressed Laurie was the one that started this thread. That was the only one to express that view. And this was the one that Laurie based her decision on. Which is her right. I'm sorry, but I thought her thinking processes were evident, but that was MY jumping to conclusions.

I had meant to say that not ONE person has posted in support of that post. Not to mention that she, having RETHOUGHT her ONE singular moment of her life -- and CHANGED how she saw things. And even jabbed at herself for her earlier thoughts. Some of us are bouncy Tiggers. Some of us are impulsive. Like me.

THAT is what I was indicating - even if I failed to proofread what I hurriedly typed. If you have read many of my posts, you know for certain that what I write is often disjointed and full of errors.

I AM sorry if my hasty words hurt any feelings. I did not mean for them too. You, Lara, are a sweetie for being so understanding.

Red face

I'm sorry, Laurie... I was feeling defensive, and didn't see as it was meant. And I let the stupid out. I have edited my post above. And again, I apologize. To anyone I offended or hurt.

I have a funny to share about the new name of BT2. I post mostly in the MS forum and today, someone voted for BrainMatters, saying that she thinks BM and MS go very well together. . I replied that, yes, they are both full of it.

To Just Laurie

That is the name of my youngest daughter and when she call ahe says Hi it's just me, call you back.

You know you must never let anyone like me influence whatever you want to do about anything. when I 'talk' sometimes it is serious and sometimes it is just rambling on.

Whatever I said that gave you the impression that there was a decision to be made about one or the other forums is not right.

I can only decide for myself and I have but that does not mean I am not going to read elsewhere. I was there from the inception and I have many many friends there but I am not posting there again.

But neither am I sending any emails or private messages to others there to come here. There is one particular man from Austrailia I would like here but it is his choice and he must find us or learn from another who has made a decision contrary to mine.

Either way is good. Because it is our own personal decision.

That is why I wish you would reconsider your response to my post and if you would like to talk off line that is fine with me. But don't do anything hasty like leavnig a place that I am sure with time you will come to like and rely on.

There are a whole lot of people here hon that are far more open minded than me on the subject and I sure hope you stay and talk to them if you don't want to talk to me.

But you know I would love to talk to you.

With sincerity Thelma

Thelma. I really appreciated your post about not sending pm's to individuals on OBT to try to recruit them to this site. I had already come to the same decision. I'm posting on both sites, since it seems as though the majority of the MGers have re-found the old one. I really wish they would find BT2, since this feels like home to me. But I don't feel I have the right to pm them to try to get them here. Like you, I feel if they figure it out, and come here, well and good, and I'll probably get up and dance around the room. (Didn't there used to be a phrase about not frightening the women and horses?!?!! )
But if they stay there, I'll continue to post at both, here because I love it, there because I post to give, and get, support.
And please don't feel bad about Just Laurie's response to your post. Often people make up their mind, then look for an excuse to justify their decision. You were just her excuse.
Hugs,
