thanks, Dr John ... already added friends to the new pad .. I'm now reading a calmer Desert Sand ...

vun-der-ful .. simply, vun-der-ful ....

OH COOL ... when you go way to the bottom to see who is online, there's a "+" sign after the person's board name!! this is who you have in your FRIENDS list!

Had to log in just so I could see what some of the fuss is about. I mean "fuss" in a nice way, just so you know. Anyway, I'm enjoying the spring skin and seeing what else I can discover. Would like to know the benefits of the friends list and what the visitor messaging thing is. Also is "reputation" going to be available?

Thanks for the new toys.

Hi
the friends thing is like the Buddy thing was on the old version

I dont think Doc will be activating reputation and the visitor message can be left by other members on your profile page...kinda a "comments" section

Lightbulb Oh, I am just loving this new skin....

This easy large font in the reply box.... it is like checking out a book in the library, with large type! LOLOL
(guess how old I am?)-- We could call this the Senior skin?

And I would like to chime in and say... please don't activate the reputations...basically for the same reason I just put on the
other thread... The shy types, or the troubled posters could get
hurt by them. (even tho this forum is way more friendly than
average, and accepting..you just never know who is on the other side of the monitor!)

Thanks for the new toys.

imo the rep won't be activated. just like doc doesn't activate all the stats being shown . like how many times you have been thanked or have thanked someone.

one key feature about the friends/buddy list is the + sign next to the name.

we all do get known some people a little more than others. you see the pluses and know that you "know" people who are online.

also if you can set you pm's to only except from friends. btw, if you do that, be sure to add mods/admin to your friends list.

easier to get people to go to chat.

Without a doubt, this is the best site I've ever been a part of. I could list all the reasons but instead, imagine 1000 words....Thanks

I still love my 'Desert Sand' look....its easy on the eyes

Friends list, fan clubs, visitor messaging... Well, I guess I will figure all of it out as I adjust to my new home. Thanks to those who gave me a brief definition of that which befuddled me. Glad to see reputation probably won't be getting used. I smelled potential problems with that one.
