Default Question About Friends??

I know there is a friend/buddy system here of which I have joined and recently I have been getting emails saying So and So have Tagged you or something like that! I did not respond until I can verify it came from this site otherwise it will be deleted!
Thanks All!

hi Junie

legit friends requests will appear in the same notification top right of the page where your "Welcome Junie", moodmeter and PM notices show

You then click them and go to your profile where you can either accept or reject the friend request

it isnt responded to by email...the emails you get would only be if you have elected (in your user CP options) to receive email notifications when you get these requests.

if you put your email addy or any im information into your profile, it makes it available to any member. by emailing a member throught nt, it is just routing it. the person you email gets your email addy.

just to be sure on wording:

PM - Private Message. it's sent through the nt system. it does not give anyone your information. you will recieve an email from nt, if you have checked that preferance. the person who sent you the pm does not get your email information.

E-mail- this is your own email. whether a yahoo, hotmail or from another service. it's not conected with nt.

if anyone ever gets a suspicous email that they think has come from nt, please forward to a mod or admin.

same goes with a pm.

we need to see exactly what it is, so we can determine if it came from nt or how to handle it.
