One thing that surprises me, is the few new topics started by people who want to see new ideas and things.

When people come here, they see the topics that come up on the Brain Talk 2 Communities... and what are the threads?

I have tried to post new threads under General, but I haven't done a very good job of naming them.

What surprises me is that there is so much discontent about these few threads, and yet no one is starting other threads to give visitors an idea of the help they can find here.

Puzzling... to say the least.

I don't think censorship to please the few or even the many is a good idea. It's basically underhanded.

Why aren't you starting some topics of the kind you want to see? rather than getting all hot and bothered by the ones you don't like?

Well said, considerthis. Very ugly idea, and short-sighted. Never works, always ends in tears.
all the best.

I took it as a joke  :p

Hey I get irritated at the swear word filters myself, so you know I'm not big on censorship.

And you're right CT, many people ***** about what they see and don't like, yet have little to interject on other subjects. Good catch ;)

Sometimes, I feel that posters like that just follow you around nipping at your heels, and no matter what you say or how you say it, you'll never please them. I usually totally ignore them - problem solved. If they bully someone I'll step in and make note that it wasn't as innocent as portrayed.

For those of us online for years, we've learned how to keep the peace. For others, they are still learning.

what can i say....pot stirrers.
i have never figured out why people join a forum, especially a new one, if they don't plan on becomming involved. be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

if people don't like my sense of humor or my refeshments....put me on ignore. :p more treats for those who enjoy them!

I completely forgot about this...
I bet this is why SoiChain posted that... to test me on censorship... maybe?

Dorry... it wasn't you... (I'm getting tired.) It was that I don't think censorship is good because while some things seem very clearly in need of censorship, that "very clearly" changes from person to person.

what I think works quite well is just ignoring it... and letting it fade.

I didn't ignore the "crack up" because I was thinking that if I was silent it might seem as if I was "petrified" by it....

Did you ever read, Something Wicked This Way Comes, by Brandbury?

Remember how they finally stopped the dust thing...???? by laughing.

No, I wasn't upset with you Dorry. ((((((((Dorry))))))))

I just was sort of saying what I think...

((((((((Dorry)))))))))
