Hi guys!
I have a Mac Powerbook G4 running OSX v.10.3.9 256 MB SDRAM. I'm starting a new job where I'll be staying in hotels, and I know most have internet access. I want to take my computer with me. I asked one time and was given a card, but it was for a windows machine. They had nothing for a Mac. I don't want to seem like a complete idiot when checking in. Do you guys know anything about this? Is there a Universal card that would fit into my laptop or an airport card of some kind? If so, do they install it? Is there a plug in for DSL in the rooms so all I would have to do is plug in like I do at home, or would that just be too easy?? Does anyone know? HELP!! ![]() Hugs, Jan

another thought - if you don't get the USB plug set up -
if you have a built in modem - you could use the free dial up on the link that was posted in another thread here. then you just need a spare phone line to connect to the hotel phone line. I can hardly believe they are giving away free unlimited dial up - but here's the link http://greatdialup.com/index.php Toll Free Number Unlike other service that just give you a limited number of hours per month, Great Dial Up is unlimited! We even use a Toll Free Number so there is absolutely no cost to you! You no longer need to wade through huge lists of local access numbers. Everyone uses the same Toll Free number to dial in. It has never been more simple. 1-877-776-1314 (Note: Remove all dashes before entering this number into a dialer. Both the free and the premium services use the toll free number. There are no other numbers to connect with, only the toll free number.)

Thanks Jo~
Just talked to the "Geek" people from the hotel's Computer Support. They said all I need is the USB airport card to connect to any wireless Internet. I asked about the cross platform. (Mac) She said that has nothing to do with it. Well, now I know. Thanks for your help! Hugs, Jan
