what kind of email program are you using?
Outlook express?
Thunderbird ?
or a web mail site online?
yahoo/Verizon/gmail etc?

most likely he changed something in the incoming or message display settings...
it'll be easier to figure it out after we know what email program or site you are using.

Hi.

I have plain old Verizon webmail. I just went to settings, general and mail, and I can't find ANYTHING that I could select an option such as "show hyperlinks".

What can I do?

Jo:

I found it VERY odd that I don't get blue hyperlinks in my verizon webmail. I just phoned them up. First they wanted to do a remote hosting. I said "why on earth would I let you take over my computer, I can follow directions, just tell me how to do this'. The guy said "No, I have to get you a more advanced person", and he switches me to another department who announced that I DON'T PAY FOR ADVANCED SERVICES.

Whereupon I was then switched back to regular tech support, got yet another person, who I explained my problem to and he said "open up an Internet Explorer Browser and see if it works using that one, if it does, then it's your Mozilla". I hung up too fast. I should have kept him on the phone.

I opened up Internet Explorer and the mail was exactly the same, no BLUE HYPERLINKS.

so how on earth do I get my blue hyperlinks back.

And if you think I'm the only one, just google this subject. I'm not alone.

THEY WORKED, I responded to your email.

I said "do you think it's the message boards". I only subscribe to two, Sproutpeople and this one.

I wonder why this would happen.

But it's a start.

AND THANKS SO MUCH.

Oh, guess what I just did.

I went to youtube and clicked on UPLOAD VIA WEBCAM. Picture came out, but no sound. Maybe it's because I have headphones plugged into my monitor.

I'll get there yet. Probably when I'm 80.

lol lol

Nope, I saw the link, and you also send me a link about Craigslist, right?

Neither of them came out as a blue hyperlink.

Hmm.

Interesting.
