That's why I downloaded (as per the instructions of the computer guy who changed my motherboard). He pointed me to the codecs website, I downloaded the thing, and I get a message NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR VERSION OF WINDOWS. But, I'll do as suggested. I'll go and find a few more dvds (I'll borrow from friends), and try and open it up using the VLC thing. I WOULD go out and buy a dvd player (it's only $39.99) but I want to test this out first. I know, I'll bring it to my friend's house, SHE has a dvd player. We'll see tomorrow night. Will update. Melody P.S. THANK YOU ALL
