I do some travel and use wirelss HSI at home/work. I do not want to sign up for an aircard account just for the once a month or so travel. I heard there are options for wifi type of thing I can use at hotels, etc that is a prepaid (sort of like tracphone?) device.
Can anyone guide me on what my best option(s) is? Much thanks!

Many hotel/motels have free wifi included for guests, and some have a small daily charge for use.
If you are going to a larger city or populated areas the coffee shops/cafes usually have wifi some free and some a sign up & small fee. I would do search for wifi hot spots in the areas you will be traveling to and see what comes up , also check the various hotel/motels that you might be staying at. free WiFi hot spots http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c...=&oq=&gs_rfai=

Thanks, that is what I do now. What I am really looking for is a form of aircard thingy that I can use in those hotels that charge me a fortune. SOrt of like a card that that allows me so many mbs of net service for a flat fee. I heard it exists but nobody seems to know who offers.

Verizon Wireless has prepaid aircards so you just put in airtime when you're going to use it.
You get a lot more data with a monthly account though so look into both options. If you have a cell phone with them, many of them allow you to add tethering through your phone so you can connect to the rev A 3G network through your phone and just add the tethering feature when you're going to travel. Visit www.verizonwireless.com for more details specific to your area.

![]() ![]() Great- and it is with my cell company! I'll have to pop in as soon as I get back from my trip (today-Fri). I must be an idiot, I never even did the obvious thing "Jane, why don't you just go to the verizon store and ask them..."

Before I worked there I never would have thought of it as an option, so go easy on yourself, lol.
