You can always uncheck things in the settings or the little boxes if you don't want to risk removing certain things.
I pretty much use it as it is and I uncheck anything related to my security files/cookies. also - on the options tab you can make sure any important site cookies are ignored - so they are left alone It will ask you if you want to do a save/back up before cleaning/making changes to the registry settings.
