Maybe clearing your browser cache will stop it from popping up each time.
and check your browser cookie list to see if something relating to the pop up is hiding there. If those don't take care of it ask on that forum if other are getting it too and/or do a web search on how to stop those things. Do you have most pop ups blocked in your browser settings?

browser...how do i know what i have? and ?cookie list? ... one other person mentioned a similar issue and we are both on AOL that forum has taken it private, so, if other persons are having issues i don't know, and won't know just turned on the pop blocker, it was at the bottom R of screen....my concern was that it just. wouldn't. go. a way....kept doing it and would eventually overlay the AOL icon on the task bar.....now that i figured out the pop up cntrol, I am going over to that forum and try it out! |

If you are using Firefox as your browser then the FREE addon 'Adblock Plus' should be able to block it for you.

If using a Microsoft Windows product - then the windows browser is Internet Explorer or called IE for short.
FireFox and some others would have to be downloaded & installed separately. So unless you have a Mac or someone put another browser on the computer for you - You are using IE as your browser. Across the very top of your screen it probably will say Windows Internet Explorer if IE is what you are using. browser cache clearing - http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/post238676-9.html Oh - But I guess I'm not sure how AOL works if they have some other way of handling online websites... ![]() I hope you do have some anti virus programs installed as sometimes these persistent pop ups can be bad stuff. AOL-
[How to clear cookies or cache This part can get pretty technical, but AOL uses its own separate version of IE. It is good to keep this area cleaned up every once in a while, and it will also help protect your privacy. I strongly recommend you download a utility program called Complete Cleanup at this location. It even has a special AOL cleanup section for removing all sorts of leftover files on AOL that are leftover when browsing the internet. ] http://www.justtext.com/americaonline/tips-tricks.html more using aol - http://www.google.com/search?q=how+A...a5fda4cb68c09e
