Ok, I start my laptop (Gateway w/Vista Home Prem.) and it goes through the startup, gets past the screen that says Microsoft and a bar showing progress, and then it just stops. It does not load Vista.
I haven't changed anything. I have to restart it over and over before it finally loads. I ran startup repair and it says nothing is wrong. I've cleaned up files and checked to make sure I have enough memory and all that. I have had a problem with my power cord and have another on the way, but even when it's on battery, I still have to restart repeatedly before Vista will load. Laptop is 4 years old. I've never had problems with it before and it's driving me nuts! Any help would be much appreciated! (just don't tell me I should have bought a Mac!  )
